He worked for projects in the following sectors: water and sanitation, health, SRHR, biodiversity, energy, micro-finance, climate change. As a trainer, Jan trained more than 2.000 development cooperation professionals on topics such as project management, financial planning, digitization, theory of change and evidence based logframe development. Jan acts as a tender agent for major consultancy tenders relating to KfW projects.
During his time at KfW Development Bank, he has managed health and education projects in Western Africa in the context of maternal & child health, HIV/AIDS-prevention, Neglected Tropical Deseases (NTD). As part of KfW’s evaluation team he evaluated infrastructure and education projects in Latin America. Later, as the director of KfW's Cameroon office, he was covering all the projects of the German financial cooperation, liaising with the Cameroonian government and our implementing partners.
Jan loves gardening, sings bass in his choir and is the finance director of his sports club.

Her expertise focuses on financial sector development, including MSME finance, inclusive insurance, and financial literacy. Over the past years, she has supported governments and development partners in the development of National Financial Inclusion Strategies, evaluated microfinance programmes in 12 countries, designed financial literacy programmes, and delivered capacity-building workshops and training courses.
Leading international teams, Corinna has designed new cash transfer programmes and prepared analytical and strategic studies on gender equality and policy-based finance. One of her key strengths is the design and facilitation of participatory workshops and collaborative processes in both virtual and in-person settings. She creates an environment for constructive dialogue and helps diverse stakeholder groups develop practical, jointly owned solutions across cultural and institutional contexts. Corinna holds an MA in International Development Studies as well as a BSc in Economics and a BA in Geography and is a Certified Expert in Microfinance.
Beyond her professional work, Corinna is committed to environmentally sustainable ways of living and is a strong advocate of climate-friendly travel, particularly by train.

Throughout his career, he has supported governments, development banks, and international organisations in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating infrastructure projects for international donors such as KfW, GIZ and the World Bank.

His expertise covers integrated water resources management (IWRM), rural and urban water supply, sanitation, wastewater management, and climate adaptation. He has worked in more than 30 countries with a specific focus on the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Dieter has successfully led large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in diverse international settings, managing multicultural teams and working closely with public institutions and government stakeholders. His ability to combine sound technical expertise with strategic planning and stakeholder engagement enables him to develop practical, sustainable solutions tailored to local needs.

She has worked with governments, development partners, financial institutions, and investors across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region to design evidence-based strategies that strengthen sustainable economic development and resilient financial systems.

Her work combines strategic analysis, stakeholder engagement, policy development, and impact measurement, with particular experience in climate finance, natural capital, sustainable investment, DE&I and inclusive economic development. Isabel has advised on projects involving public policy, financial sector reform, and socio-economic assessments, translating complex technical findings into practical recommendations and implementation roadmaps.

Isabel is particularly experienced in facilitating multi-stakeholder processes, conducting strategic reviews, developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and supporting organisations in aligning policy objectives with measurable outcomes. Through her New Zealand-based consultancy, she supports projects that strengthen financial systems, promote sustainable economic development and improve long-term resilience in emerging and developing economies.

Living and working extensively in New Zealand and across the Asia-Pacific region, she brings a strong understanding of Pacific contexts, Indigenous engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration. She has experience working with Māori communities and government stakeholders, providing valuable insights into inclusive governance approaches relevant to Small Island Developing States.

She is an accomplished manager who has worked in large complex organizations (the World Bank Group and the United Nations), where she led integrated teams to solve complex development challenges around small and medium enterprise growth, climate, gender, and capital markets development. She has a solid track record in the impact investing space. She laid the foundation for the first debt and equity fund in the Middle East, now valued at over $600M, supporting growth and employment creation of the micro, small, and medium entrepreneur (MSME) sector, and sits on the Board and Investment Committee of Calvert Impact Capital (CIC).

Over the course of her career, she has worked across 30+ countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia with a range of public and private stakeholders in the financial sector as well as the start-up and investment space. She is a passionate advocate for women’s entrepreneurship and has dedicated much of her career to advancing women’s equality and empowerment. Deena has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) where she has taught courses and workshops on Microfinance.
